I have forgotten my password, how can I reset it?

If you have forgotten your password simply select “Forgotten your password?” on the login screen (https://pmx.parentmail.co.uk) and enter your email address. This will send an email directly to you which will enable you to reset your password.

How do I update my email address or mobile number?

To change your email or mobile number, click on your name on the toolbar across the top of your ParentMail feed, then select ‘Personal Details’. On this page you can update any of your contact details. 


Important:
Once you have verified your new email address, this will now be the email you will login to ParentMail with.

In your menu, simply scroll down and select Personal Details. On this page you can update any of your contact details.

Once you have verified your new email address, you will receive an email to the new email address to confirm the change, this will now be the email you will login to ParentMail with.

Can I register without a mobile number?

Yes, you can now register without entering a mobile number. However, if you provide your school with your mobile number it means you can receive text messages from your school, as well as emails.

Can anybody else see my personal details?

The only people who can view your contact information are ParentMail administrators at the school(s) or club(s) you are linked to. No one else can see your personal information.

I can see the message ‘Your account is not connected to any organisations and therefore is scheduled to be deleted within 30 days’ when I login; what should I do?

If you are presented with the message below –

This means that you are not connected to any schools. If you think this is incorrect, please contact the school directly so that they can check you are set up correctly on their system.

They may need to set you up again with the correct details in order to re-connect you to the school.

Can I unsubscribe from just one school?

Yes, you can unsubscribe from seeing notifications from a single school. You can do this by clicking ‘Unsubscribe’ when you receive an email notification from that school –

This will then take you to ParentMail, where you can click the red ‘Unsubscribe’ button. You will see a list of subscriptions to ‘Unsubscribe’ from –

How can I re-subscribe to a school?

You can re-subscribe by clicking ‘Unsubscribe’ on the last email you received from that school –

You can then click ‘Subscribe’ to subscribe again –

Alternatively, if you do want to re-subscribe in the future, let your school know and they can action a ‘Request resubscribe’ for you.

Click the link and you will be taken to the subscriptions window where you can click ‘Subscribe’ –

I am connected, how do I unsubscribe through my ParentMail account?

Login to your ParentMail account and click ‘Connections’.

Find the school that you want to unsubscribe from and click the red dustbin icon –

You will then receive a confirmation message informing you that you can re-connect by viewing your rejected connections list –

Click ‘Yes’ and you will be marked as unsubscribed.

How can I delete my account from ParentMail?

You can permanently delete your data at any time from ParentMail. To do this, simply log into your ParentMail account and click the ‘Your Name’ icon next to Logout followed by ‘Delete account’ –

You will then be asked to enter in your password –

You have 7 days to recover the account once you have selected ‘Delete My Account’. After this period it will be permanently deleted.

After you have clicked to delete your account, you will see a message alerting you of when the account will be deleted –

How can I stop my ParentMail account from being deleted?

From the day you selected ‘Delete Account’, you have 7 days to recover the account. After 7 days, your account will permanently be deleted.

If you are within the 7 days period and wish to cancel the deletion of your account, simply log into your ParentMail account, click the ‘Your Name’ icon beside Logout and click ‘Delete Account’ –

Can I make a Subject Access Request?

Yes, you can make a Subject Access Request (SAR) to see the data the school holds for you, including both personal data, user activity and received information.

Please request this directly from the school and they will be able to provide you with a document to show what information they hold. They will also be able to provide you with a separate document to include all items that were sent to you.
