How do I delete emails?
You cannot delete emails, however what you can do is move any old messages, forms etc. into the archive folder so that your message feed is clear.
If you are using a computer, you simply select the arrow on each message and click ‘delete’.
If you are using the App, details of bulk deleting can be found below:
Go to messages, and select the Edit button in the top right hand corner:
Select all the messages you would like to move into the Archive folder, then select the red icon at the bottom, with the downwards facing arrow. This will move these messages from the current folder into the Archive folder.
Go into your message folder, and simply select the icon of each message you wish to delete. Once you have selected all the messages you’d like to remove, click on the bin icon at the top and this will move them from the current folder into the archive box.Permalink
Why am I not receiving emails?
Please login to your ParentMail account. If you can see communications here under the Email tab, you are being targeted for messages. Please check your junk and spam folders for our messages, then add email@example.com to your contacts/address book in your email account to make us a “safe sender”. Please note, if you have previously marked one of our messages as Spam, our messages will be blocked. Please speak to your email provider for further assistance. Alternatively you can contact the school. If you cannot see communications within your ParentMail account, but you believe your school has sent you an email, please contact the school directly.Permalink
Why am I only receiving messages for one of my children?
ParentMail allows schools to send messages ‘per family’; this means that you will only receive messages such as newsletters once, even if you have multiple children, although one child’s name will appear on the message. If you believe that you are not receiving messages specific to one child, please contact the school to check that you are properly linked to all of your children.Permalink
How will I know if I have been sent an email?
There are three ways to receive an email via ParentMail.
- Depending on your notification settings, you may receive an email directly to your email inbox each time your school sends you a message, or a summary email of school messages daily.
- If you are using the ParentMail App, you will receive an email, but also an in-app ‘push’ notification on your smart phone alerting you to the new email. If you click on this, you will be taken straight to the message within your App.
- You can also log in to pmx.parentmail.co.uk via a web browser. If you have been sent an Email, you will have a notification next to “Email” in your menu. To view it, simply click on Email and a list of messages you have been sent will appear, with the newest at the top.
How long will emails stay in the feed?
Your messages will remain in your news feed so you can view them at any time, as many times as you need to. The bin icon allows you to delete messages from the feed so that you can keep it uncluttered – this will move messages into a deleted or Archive folder. Please note these messages will remain in this folder so you can always refer back to them if you need to.Permalink
Can I highlight important messages?
You can select the star on the right hand side of the message if it is important. This will allow you to filter messages which have stars against them so that you know which messages are of most importance, or require you to do something.Permalink
How do I respond to an email?
If your school send you an email you will not be able to respond via ParentMail. The emails your school sends you should be informing you of something and therefore shouldn’t require a response. If you do need to respond, please contact the school directly.Permalink
I haven’t registered to ParentMail, so why am I receiving emails from my school?
If your school holds an email address for you, you will still receive messages to your email inbox. This is so that the school can ensure you are receiving all communications. If you want to use additional ParentMail features or access the free parent App, you will need to register your account.Permalink
I can see messages when I log into my ParentMail account, but I'm not receiving emails to my inbox?

How can I see previous messages sent to me?
On the message feed screen scroll down the page to see previous messages that have been sent to you.Permalink
How do I update my email address?
If you are registered, you can log in to your ParentMail account and update your email address yourself. To do this, log in, select your name in the top right hand bar, and then click Personal Details. Update your email address here, then click Save. When you update your personal details, the school will receive a notification of any changes.
Important: Once you have verified your new email address, this will now be the email you will login to ParentMail with.
If you have not yet registered your account, please contact the school directly to update your email address.Permalink
